Course description:

The HBST aims to prepare the staff hotel of the future for life at sea. Will be taught the various elements of a ship, the appropriate work procedures on board, the communication procedures used on board (SMCP) and interpersonal group relationships. All this in order to adapt more quickly to life on board and to face any circumstance and unforeseen event in a safe manner.

Upon passing the exam, a certificate will be issued, in compliance with the ministerial model, recognized by all countries that adhere to the STCW '95 Convention, as amended. The course is mandatory for seafarers when they join for the first time.

STCW Regulation: Regulation VI/1 of the Annex to the IMO STCW '95 International Convention and of Section A-VI / 1 Paragraph 2.1.4 of the STCW CodeRegulation VI/1 of the Annex to the IMO STCW '95 and Section A-VI/1 paragraph 2.1.4 of the STCW Code, Regulation VI/1, of the Schedule to the STCW Convention'78 as amended, Section A-VI/1.2.1.1 and Table A-VI/1-1 of the related Code, STCW A-VI 1 -2, Regulation VI/1-3 and subsection A VI/1-3.

Course Assessment: Upon completion of HBST Course, each candidate will take an on line test. In order to guarantee an objective verification of the achievement of the course objectives, the method of evaluating the candidates, is represented by a written test of 30 multiple choice questions with the possibility of making 9 mistakes. You will have a maximum of 60 minutes to carry out the test or an on line test with multiple choices in synchronic way.
